Includes Public and Private Acts of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee from 1809 to 1822. Acts to incorporate towns such as Carthage, Kingston, Shelbyville, and Springfield are included. For example, Chapter 36, the act incorporating Kingston, states, "Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, That the town of Kingston in the county of Roane, and the inhabitants thereof, are hereby constituted a body politic and corporate by the style and name of the mayor and aldermen of the town of Kingston, under the same rules, regulations, restrictions and privileges of the town of Murfreesborough... July 19, 1820."
