Animal Control Law Revised by Legislature

The Tennessee General Assembly recently enacted a new law that repeals the Dog and Cat Humane Death Act [Part 3] in its entirety. It was replaced with Chapter 70, referred to as the Non-livestock Animal Humane Death Act.

Establishing a city court

Regarding the establishment of a city court, the city should notify the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) in writing. After the names of the judge and clerk are in the AOC system, they will receive notices of conferences and training classes.
