MTAS conducted this study at the request of Chester Owens, Fire Chief for the City of Humboldt. The study's purpose is to provide an overview of the current compensation program and to make recommendations for a competitive compensation program to help Humboldt recruit and retain experienced firefighters. A verbal request to MTAS from Chief Owens authorized the study.
