Enhancing local self-government and state capabilities : the U.S. Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations Program
The U.S. Advisory Commission on Intergovenmental Relations (ACIR) is a permanent, bipartisan, independent commission established by Congress in September 1959. It brings together representatives of federal, state, and general purpose local governments to analyze intergoernmental issues, make recommendations where appropriate, and promote intergovenmental cooperation.
