MTAS was asked to develop a criminal background check employment application supplement.

In response to a request for assistance from the Parsons City Recorder, MTAS conducted a review of the city’s 2020 ISO evaluation in preparation for an anticipated Public Protection Classification review estimated to occur in the 2023 or 2024 calendar years. MTAS reviewed Parson’s Public Protection Classification Summary Report, prepared by the Insurance Services Office (ISO) dated April 2020, against the current (2012/2013) edition of the ISO Fire Suppression Rating Schedule, and toured the fire protection area. This report includes recommendations based upon the observations and comparisons made during the site visit.

The TGTLA provides that municipalities can be sued for injuries caused by their employees only in a limited number of areas and immunizes municipal employees or limits their liability for injuries they cause in certain cases.

A legal opinion was requested of MTAS addressing whether individuals who work for the local Chamber of Commerce are legally eligible for benefits provided to employees of the city.

MTAS was asked if the courts have jurisdiction to determine whether the reason for the recall cited in the petition, that certain members of the city council sought to be recalled, violated the Sunshine Law, is "true."

MTAS was asked about the procedure for turning over unpaid parking tickets to a collection agency.
