City of Athens, TN public works department review

In mid-October 2021, the City of Athens Public Works Director contacted UT MTAS requesting an "assessment/study" of the Athens Public Works Department similar to those conducted by UT MTAS for the Athens Police and Fire Departments. The Director's reasoning for this request was to evaluate the department's efficiency and stability given the present environment (including the impact of COVID-19) and the long term as Athens is facing increasing demands from both residential and commercial growth.
