Sample ordinance to adopt Loretto personnel policy

The City of Loretto requested assistance from MTAS to prepare a new updated personnel policy. John Grubbs, MTAS Human Resources Consultant, prepared a draft personnel policy for consideration and adoption by the governing body.

To properly adopt the new updated personnel policy and repeal the prior policy as well as conflicting provisions in the City’s municipal code, a draft ordinance was prepared by Chuck Downham, MTAS Municipal Management Consultant. The draft ordinance provided for the repeal of the prior personnel policy, repeal of provisions of the municipal code conflicting with the new updated personnel policy, and the adoption of the new updated personnel policy.
