Electronic citation fee authorized: adopt ordinance to collect $5.00 fee for five years (revised)

Cities may adopt ordinances by majority vote of the legislative body to collect a $5.00 fee for both written and electronic citations prepared by a law enforcement officer, according to Public Chapter 750, effective July 1, 2014.

Municipalities can prohibit moonlighting that is incompatible with their municipal employment

MTAS was asked whether the municipal code prohibits municipal employees from accepting outside employment without the permission of the city manager, and provides that such permission will not be granted where the public and private employment are incompatible.
