Fellow MTASers,

I am pleased to let you know that Abner Oglesby has accepted an employment offer as MTAS’s Municipal Court Specialist. He will join the MTAS staff on January 1, 2016 and will be stationed in the Knoxville office.

Abb (as he prefers to be called) and his family will be moving to Knoxville from Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He graduated from Auburn University in 2001 with a B.S. degree in Finance. He received his Juris Doctor degree in 2004 from the University of Mississippi School of Law and will be leaving his current job as special assistant attorney general in the Office of the Mississippi Attorney General to join MTAS. With MTAS, he will join the training team and consult with and provide training to municipal court officials in Tennessee.

I appreciate the good work of the search committee for this position – Michelle Terry, Patrick Mills, Rick Whitehead, Stephanie Allen, Kim Graves (Sevierville Court Clerk) and Macel Ely and, along with them, look forward to having Abb with us soon.
