TML Conference - The dates for the TML annual conference have shifted a little. Now, it will start on Saturday, June 9 and conclude on Monday, June 10. Sally and I are working with TML on the conference planning committee. She will poll consultants soon to see if you have any suggestions for program topics.

CTAS - Rodney Carmical, the executive director of CTAS, has announced his retirement from UT effective December 31, 2001. He will become the executive director of the County Road Superintendent Association replacing Jimmy Westbrook who is retiring (although he may continue to work part time).

Finance - Through the end of October, Nancy reports that we have spent 30% of our budget and received 34% of our revenues. In other words, we are a little ahead. Our expenditures will pick up now that we have filled most of our positions and our revenue should remain about the same. The economy is not doing so well, but we usually receive an extra amount of sales tax for the month of December. So, keep shopping.
