We've had several personnel changes recently and we have more on the horizon. Here's where we are with everything at the moment.

Codes Team - The Codes Team welcomed two new staff members last week.

Doug Brown accepted the position of Administrative Specialist II with the codes team. This is a new position we created to help increase our capacity for new codes and code updates. Doug had previously worked in the preservation department of Hodges library on campus. He has a BA in political science from UTK and a M.Ed from UT Chattanooga.

Hannah Helms accepted the position of Administrative Support Assistant III with the codes team. She replaces Catherine Mahaffey who is now working with the National Zoo in Washington, DC. Hannah worked at our front desk for a couple of weeks on assignment from the temporary help pool. Now, she's full time. She previously worked with the UTK Industrial and Information Engineering department.

This is the first time in quite a while that the codes team has been fully staffed. In addition to Hannah and Doug, we have Steve, Linda, and Nancy. So, look out backlog!

Human Resources Consultant - We continue to accept applications for the second HR consultant position. We did not have very many applications from our first advertisement so we readvertised a couple of weeks ago. We hope to have enough qualified applicants to schedule interviews in January.

Legal Consultant - We interviewed four candidates October 31. We've checked references and the paperwork for our recommended candidate is almost complete. We hope to have this position filled in December.

Finance Consultant - We interviewed one candidate for this position and are waiting on the paperwork. Again, we hope to have this position filled in December. This is Al's old position - working primarily with the benchmarking project. If you remember, Bill went to the Harriman Utilities Board; Al transferred to Bill's position; and we're filling Al's position. Dr. Janet Kelly is filling this position part time, and when the paperwork is done, it's very likely she will be full time.

Training Consultant - We're recruiting for Sally's replacement. We hope to conduct the interview in January.

Administrative Support Assistant II - This is the front desk position, actually it's more training than front desk, but this lets you know where it is, in Knoxville. We will conduct interviews for this in December.
