TML District Meetings - TML is starting to set up the district meetings. This year they will be held in January. Here's the schedule so far. Three of the meetings are being combined.
District 1, January 4 - Bristol, in conjunction with the Tri-cities Legislative Meeting;
District 2, Monday, January 7 - Knoxville
Districts 7 & 8, Friday, January 11 in Jackson
Districts 3 & 4, Monday, January 14 (location hasn't been selected yet) - Chattanooga and plateau districts
Districts 5 & 6, Friday, January 18 (location hasn't been selected yet) - Middle TN, upper and lower districts

MTAS Employee Information Guide - Soon, you will receive a copy of a new informational guide with all sorts of useful information. Our orientation design team (Rick, Margaret, David, Dianna, and Becky) put it together to be used as part of the orientation for new employees, but it's so good, we are making copies for everyone. The five members of the design team really put a lot of work into this project.

Research Specialist - We are creating a new position to work with TML in Nashville. It's a research specialist.
Position Data Questionnaires Here's a link to the complete position data questionnaire. And here is a short description of the duties: Serve as the principal research position within MTAS. Provide substantial research for the Tennessee Municipal League. Conduct independent and directed research into issues of importance to Tennessee cities. The research involves the collection and analysis of financial and economic data; researching proposed changes in state law, municipal finances, taxation, economic development, management and operations; and preparing reports on such analyses.
