UT Outreach Advisory Committee - President Petersen is creating an advisory committee of staff involved in outreach. This includes representatives from Agriculture and IPS and some others. The three IPS representatives are Kim Arms, IPS; Bob Schettler, CTAS; and Mike Tallent, MTAS. The committee will have its first meeting in the next month or so.

And the winner is - We had seven entries in the MTAS election contest. The average of all the predictions is:

Nader 3.3% 2.4%
Several people predicted that the Electoral College might not follow the popular vote and everyone predicts a long night tonight, if not a long week.

Forensics Academy - The Law Enforcement Innovation Center's National Forensic Academy, a UT Institute of Public Service agency, is featured in a Court TV documentary. It will air in three parts at 10 pm Wednesdays on Oct 27 (that would be last week), Nov 3 and Nov 10.

Lodging Rates Changes - The UT approved rates for travel reimbursement have been increased. You should have already received an email with the new rates. Lisa has modified the travel database to account for the new rates.
