ECD study regions - The Department of Economic and Community Development commissioned Dr. Bill Fox of UT to develop a new way of looking at the state. He prepared 10 economic growth strategy regions. These were presented at the Governor's Economic and Development Conference a couple of weeks ago and are featured on the front page of ECD's web site (
http://www.state.tn.us/ecd/). You may want to see the statistics for your area of the state. Frances sent you a more direct URL last Friday.

Lobelville and Luttrell - My email to all cities on Friday had a last minute error. I was looking up the recorder for Lobelville and got Luttrell instead. The city that Pat Williams is working with is Lobelville. I knew it, but I sure didn't type it. (We send faxes to the cities without email addresses and we were able to correct the fax so both cities received the corrected version).

MTAS retreat - Don, Frances, Nancy, and Ray have worked very hard to enable us to have the MTAS retreat next month in Manchester and environs. Here's the schedule. They will follow up soon with more detail.
