IPS Staff,

As I mentioned in an email at the conclusion of the Supervisors’ Survey, we are making the results available thanks to the compilation of data by our graduate assistant Cameron Dodd.

I’m pleased with the results and the responses from employees. The highest score in satisfaction, at 91 percent, came in the area of supervisors treating their direct reports with respect. Some 88 percent of employees are satisfied or strongly satisfied that supervisors understand what they do . The areas where we need improvement among supervisors are keeping their direct reports informed , and dealing with personnel and personal issues .

When we look at the results overall, and they are posted on the intranet at
http://intranet.ips.tennessee.edu/
, we can say that 95 percent of our employees are satisfied and about 5 percent are dissatisfied in one or more areas.

In earlier messages about the survey, I mentioned that we will look at areas where we need to improve and create supervisors’ training on those topics. Judie Martin and the Workforce Strategy Team will be making those recommendations. The agency directors will receive their overall agency results shortly. Individuals' supervisor results will be released as soon as they are ready.

Thanks again to all of you who completed the survey.

Mary
