Outside interests - You will receive an email soon from Ron Loewen concerning the annual submittal of the outside interests form. Not everyone has to do it this year. Ron's email will explain.

Professional Development Credit for IPS annual conference - IPS has determined that we will receive 8 hours professional development credit for the IPS annual conference last month. You DO NOT need to submit a form to me for that - - IPS will submit a list for all of us to the Human Resources department. You will still need to record your hours in project reporting (unless, of course, you are not required to do project reporting).

New student worker in library - Please help us welcome our new student employee in the library, Kyle Duckworth. Kyle is a engineering-turned-music education major at UT who will graduate in 2009. Kyle is from Ashland City. Kyle plays in the Pride of the Southland marching band -- his instrument is the euphonium (like a tuba). We didn't know it, but Kyle played at the Crowne Plaza for the IPS hospitality suite. Kyle has now seen us at our best!

Kyle will work 10 hours a week to complement the 10 hours a week that our library science graduate student, Jen Dickerson, is currently working. Both students will help with surveys so we can look forward to quicker turn-around on the surveys.
