Fellow MTASers,

Earlier today, Sherri sent us a reminder about professional development and the fact that we all have a 32 hour threshold to meet.

I know I’m “preachin’ to the choir”, but I want to reemphasize the importance of professional development. Forget about the 32 hours being a requirement of our employment. The really important issue is that when we work to expand our knowledge and expertise through professional development, we are better positioned to serve each other and, most importantly, our town and city customers…and that’s what I want all of us to be about.

We haven’t achieved 100% success with this target in the past couple years and I’m on record of saying to many of you and others that we would in CY 2013. For those of us who have already reached the goal, take any opportunity that may present itself to do even more. If the goal is yet to be achieved this year, over three months remain to get all of us to 100%.

Thanks for your attention to this and for everything you do every day for MTAS and our customers.

(See. I told you. Preachin to the choir!)
