Project Reporting - Please double check your project reporting to be sure you are up to date. I will send you a paper copy of the combined IPS quarterly report. Our numbers are not as good as they used to be. I think it is because of a lack of reporting. We need to do better.

Also , please remember to attach correspondence and reports to your project reporting. It lets the rest of us use your work product. Thanks.

TML Board Meeting - The TML board will meet in Kingsport next Friday and Saturday (and adjourn in time for the UT-Florida game!). As you have seen in the latest issue of TT&C, TML has prepared a compromise covering the Big Four and the Tennessee Urban Partnership. This is likely to be the biggest item on the agenda for the board meeting.

IT Database - Allie and Lisa have started the monthly IT updates and it is are part of our bulletin board. Database 'Bulletin Board', View 'Info/Tech News', Document 'IT Update~September '98' Please note the training schedule at the bottom.

IPS Retreat - Remember the IPS retreat starts with a reception on Tuesday, September 22 at 5:00 PM in Chattanooga. We conclude with lunch on Thursday, September 24. Dress is casual throughout. Plan to be outdoors part of the day Wednesday.

We will have our annual staff photo made during the retreat. We will meet at 1:15 after lunch on Wednesday. See Carole or me during lunch for the location.

New Staff - The Codes Team has been hiring!

Linda Dean replaces Marty Danilchuck, who replaced Sandy Selvage, as the MTAS Senior Word Processing Specialist . Linda's first day with MTAS was September 14, 1998. She comes to MTAS from the UT College of Nursing where she has worked for 13 years as Secretary in the Learning Resource Center, Word Processing Specialist in the Center for Nursing Research, and Word Processing Specialist for graduate and undergraduate faculty. She is a graduate of Draughon's Business College and Central High School.

Donna Ward replaces retiree Bobbie Sams as the MTAS Word Processing Specialist . Donna's first day with MTAS was Tuesday, September 8, 1998. She is new to the University of Tennessee but not the educational realm, as she has worked at Crown College and Temple Baptist Church and School. She is a graduate of State Area Vocational School and Tellico Plains High School. Donna will share front desk duties with Laura, so you hear a new voice on the Knoxville phones in the afternoon.
