· If you’ve never been to Alaska, either create or take advantage of any opportunity to do so. You won’t regret it.

· It’s been a long and intense week moving across the state with the strategic plan listening sessions, but it’s been a good week. I’m very appreciative of your efforts to get to one of them and for your participation in the one you attended. There’s a huge amount of work ahead of the steering committee for the next few months, but I’m convinced the effort will be appropriately rewarded. Thanks for your contribution to that effort.

· Dennis Wolf and Justin O’Hara both joined MTAS on August 1 ^st . Dennis in 2011 and Justin in 2004. What both of you do for all of us is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

· Doesn’t look like any 39 ^th birthdays between now and next Friday

· Hope it’s a comfortable weekend for all!
