All,

I want to make it clear from the outset that my reporting of work related stuff won’t be nearly as entertaining as the way Jim reported it. Jim has a knack for writing that I don’t have. So, now that you’ve been fairly warned, here’s what I have for you:

● New Learning Management System’s Deployment Date has been Postponed . The new system, which will be called K@te, will be available to our customers August 21 ^st . If anyone has any questions or problems, please refer them to Alana, Cyndy, or Michelle Buckner.

● Securing the Human Training . Please remember to complete this on-line training class. For the past couple of years, we’ve all completed the training prior to the deadline. Let’s continue the trend.

● Utility Board Member Training. The comptroller’s office has approved our curriculum for training utility board members. Thank you to everyone who had a role in putting the curriculum together.

● President DiPietro’s East Tennessee Visit. The president will be visiting Cleveland August 15 ^th as part of his statewide tour to visit IPS customers.

● Women in Government Symposium. This year the event will be held November 14 ^th and will be at the Factory in Franklin. Bernice King will be the featured speaker.

● IPS Annual Conference. The IPS Annual Conference will be August 29 – 31 in Murfreesboro. Stay tuned for more information.

● Dale Wolfe’s Retirement. Dale will be retiring from UT on August 31 ^st and will be on leave until then. If you have an opportunity, please wish him well.

● Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday to Elisha, whose birthday was yesterday, and to Chris, whose birthday is today.
