Fellow MTASers,

Our opportunity is once again before us where we can honor a few amongst us with the MTAS Awards that are traditionally given during MTAS time at the IPS Conference. And, yes, I’m contacting you about this later than Steve did last year. Please don’t interpret my tardiness as an indication that I don’t place high importance on these awards. No excuses. I just flat forgot until I was asked about it earlier today.

I ask that you seriously consider and make nominations for the three awards and get those nominations to Rick no later than July 31 st . Keep this in mind as you consider your nominations and be sure to include some specific reasons and situations that support your nomination. The three awards are:

1. The Hobday Award is named for Victor Hobday, MTAS executive director from 1952 until 1980. It recognizes an employee who has been a cornerstone of the agency and truly represents the best of MTAS in all that they do.

2. The Trailblazer Award is for an employee who has taken the lead on a new or innovative MTAS project or activity.

3. The Customer Service Award recognizes exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

For your information, previous award winners are listed in the attached file.

Thanks in advance for your attention and consideration of this.
