Colleagues,

As part of our continued safety efforts, a text message group has been set up by HR in UT Foundation. They have welcomed our building’s participation in the text message group. The purpose of the text message group is that in the event of an emergency that we believe warrants staying in the building or to avoid returning to the area, an email and text will be sent. Our office is working in coordination with the UT Foundation HR Office to communicate immediate situations (occurring at the 1525 or 1610 building) that could impact all staff. When things happen and we are aware, information will be shared as each situation warrants.

If you wish to sign up for the text alerts, please provide your 10-digit cell phone number and cell phone provider suffix to Jill Marling at
jill.marling@tennessee.edu as soon as you’re able. Use the guide and example listed below to determine what to send to Jill.

Remember, if you see or experience something that is an immediate safety concern, you must contact 911 in the case of an emergency or 974-3114 (UTPD) if it is a non-emergency. Please be sure to inform myself as the HR/Operations Manager. By notifying HR, we can then take action to share a communication.
