Video Meeting - We have cancelled the staff video meeting originally scheduled for July 12. The management team is meeting that day and time in Cookeville with all of the IPS agencies to discuss parts of the five year plan.

Kirk Bednar - Kirk's first day of work as management consultant in the Nashville office is today - Monday, June 26. Kirk has a MPA from Indiana University. While there he worked as a Lilly Fellow offering technical assistance to cities in Indiana. Since then he has worked for the city of Fort Worth in the City Manager's office, with the EMS service and in the Department of Environmental Management. He and Becky have split the middle Tennessee territory; Becky has the south, Kirk has the north.

TML Conference - The Mayor of the Year was Don Mull of Alcoa. The City Manager of the Year was C. L. Overman of Alcoa. Since the two selection processes are completely independent, it came as a surprise to almost everyone that two people from the same city won.

I've attached a WP 6.0 file of the TML Board of Directors for 1995-1996.

I want to thank to Carol for coordinating and working in the booth, and thank everyone who staffed a meeting or did airport transportation for TML, AND thank everyone who helped with Municipal Officials Orientation. It went well, had enough people, and the city officials said they got a lot out of it. And for those in the Knoxville office, riding the shuttle bus from the Choo Choo to the Marriott was good practice for the shuttle we will take from the parking garage to our office beginning August 1.

Fiscal Year - The fiscal year is almost over. Remember fill out your T-3 for June as soon as you have done all your travel for June. If you travel on Friday, June 30, you need to have the T-3 to Knoxville by Wednesday, July 5. Thanks.

Notes - Project Reporting (the successor to Project Tracking) is being tested by five consultants. JimF continues to make improvements based on their suggestions. Everyone is on Notes except for Pat (we have his new PC and will install it in Johnson City next week), and Dick and MikeP (we will install a network in Martin in July).
