· Been working lately to fill vacancies on the MTAS Advisory Board, brought about by a few members rotating off the board and working to meet the board composition set in late 2016. Currently, each position is filled. The members are:
o Seth Sumner, City Manager, Athens. Seth is the current board chairman.
o Pete Peterson, City Manager, Johnson City. Pete is the current board vice-chairman.
o Dr. Herb Byrd, Vice President, UT Institute for Public Service
o Lynn Price, Chief, Bolivar Fire Department
o Jill Holland, Mayor, McKenzie
o Steve Thomas, Councilman, Lewisburg
o Sheryl Ely, Deputy Public Services Director, Knoxville
o Jim Crumley, Assistant City Manager, Murfreesboro
o Dawn Crawford, President, TML Risk Management Pool
o Bones Seivers, President, TML Bond Fund
o Margaret Mahery, Executive Director, Tennessee Municipal League
o Ron Sharp, City Attorney, Gatlinburg
o Mark Miller, Public Works Director, Pigeon Forge
o Casta Brice, Human Resources Director, Tullahoma
o Julie High, Assistant City Manager and Finance Director, Goodlettsville

· Congratulations to all the cities winning awards at the TML Conference earlier this week…and thanks to the TML folks who nominated many of them for the awards. Also, congratulations to Mike Werner of Gatlinburg, recognized as Mayor of the Year and Tim Ellis of Goodlettsville, recognized as City Manager of the Year.

· What did Edward Stimpson do in 1935? Oh, the stuff you’ll learn!

· Happy Birthday, Gary Jaeckel, next Wednesday, June 21 st , on your 39 th birthday!

· Jeff Broughton joined MTAS on June 24, 2013. Congrats, Jeff on four years of service to MTAS and your cities!

· Lastly, remember a few things…
