Construction Grants and Loan - As we approach the end of the fiscal year (yes, it's coming) please remember to log all projects that are to be charged to CG&L. The sooner you do it, the easier it is for Sally to prepare our invoice to CG&L. Thanks.
And . . . Since it is the end of the fiscal year, please remember to submit all your travel reimbursement requests for June by Thursday, July 2. Thanks.
IPS Awards - Remember to nominate a colleague for an IPS award or two. The nominations are due July 17 and the forms are on the IPS homepage (www.ips.utk.edu). Thanks.
ICMA Vice President - Cindy Ogle, CM of Gatlinburg has been elected one of the regional vice presidents for ICMA. She will serve a three year term.
New Staff (already here and coming soon)
John Chlarson - new public works consultant in Jackson started on June 1. You can look up John's details in the Staff Update for May 8 or, better yet, call him in Jackson.
Jessica Sowa - new intern in Knoxville started June 8. To help with the transition when Ann Lowe retires, Jessica will be serving as personnel officer until Ann's replacement is hired.
Bill Young - utility finance consultant will start in Knoxville on July 1. Bill will be part of the CG&L wastewater and water program. Bill has been finance director for the Harriman Utilities Board.
Chris Willis - utility management consultant will start in Nashville on August 10. He will manage the CG&L program. Chris is retiring after 20 years with the US Navy as a civil engineer.
