IPS Reception - IPS will sponsor a reception in honor of his retirement for VP Tom Ballard on Monday, June 21 from 3:00 - 5:00 at the University Club in Knoxville. Dr. Johnson will be present. You'll receive a formal invitation later.

MTAS Retreat - Change of Date - We've had to change the date of our MTAS retreat from September 30, 31, and October 1 to November 10, 11 & 12. Please mark your calendar. We are still going to do it in the middle part of the state and the retreat committee is still Don, Frances, Nancy, and Ray.

Business Tax forms - Dick has been working with the State Department of Revenue on new business tax forms for some time. The new forms take effect July 1 and it's only because of Dick's efforts and those of the Department of Revenue that they are ready now. Thanks to Dick for sticking with the project.

TML Awards - Carole Graves sent me this list of TML awards for the conference. She hasn't quite finished notifying the cities so please wait a week before congratulating anyone. Thanks to everyone who submitted a nomination.

We are still finalizing conference details, but as of today, we have the award presentations scheduled for the opening session on Sunday afternoon beginning at 3:00 p.m.As soon as we have that nailed down, we will contact the cities to let them know the time and place of the awards ceremony - which will most likely take place sometime this week."
