TML Awards - We've received this from Carole Graves at TML: "TML has made the final selection of the Achievement Award winners. Eleven nominations were submitted this year, which gave us a great selection to choose from. However, as much as we would like to - it is too many to try to give them all an award and therefore, will need to hold some for next year. Please extend our appreciation to the MTAS consultants who submitted nominations." Carole will be calling the cities this week to let them know they have won, so you will need to wait until next week before calling them.

The following cities have been selected to receive awards.
1. McMinnville Excellence in Community Development
2. Sevierville Excellence in Community Relations and Information Services
3. Lake City Excellence in Finance
4. Murfreesboro Excellence in Fire Safety
5. Jefferson City Excellence in Governance
6. Humboldt Excellence in Leisure Services
7. Harriman Excellence in Police Operations
8. Kingston Small Town Progress

The awards will be given out during the first opening general session on Sunday afternoon, June 12, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Carole will be contacting the award winners this week to congratulate them and to provide information about the award ceremony. Press releases will go out the week of June 6 prior to the conference.
