Hi MTAS,
I wanted to let you know that I’ve hired an interim replacement for David’s position as management consultant in Memphis. Athanasia (rhymes with I wanna see ya) Lewis will begin May 2. Athanasia comes to us from the town of Collierville where she was an assistant town administrator. Prior to Collierville, she’s worked for the city of Oak Ridge and she worked with MTAS as a public management fellow doing work for Alcoa, Maryville, Farragut and Oak Ridge. She earned her MPA and Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in Political Science from UTK.
My purpose in hiring temporary personnel is to give a break to existing staff and to ensure that our customers continue to enjoy the high quality of service to which they have become accustomed (great job with that!).
I’m sending letters out tomorrow to David’s customers explaining the temporary shift in assistance; and wanted you to know before the customers did. Please let me know if you have any questions.
