TML Awards
Each year at the TML annual conference in June, TML presents several achievement awards. And each year MTAS consultants send award nominations to TML. It's time again. Please email your nominations to Rae Bond by Tuesday, April 30 <rbond@tml1.org> and send a copy to me. That gives you three weeks.

I have been working with TML to make a few changes in the awards process but we just didn't have enough time to make very many changes this year. We have added a breakout session to the annual conference for a program to be presented featuring the award winning cities. Each award winner will have a large blue ribbon to wear during the conference to provide some extra recognition. And we're going to have improved award plaques this year.

There are no nomination forms. A four or five paragraph email is sufficient. There are no set categories. Please name your award as you make the nomination. Here are some categories we've used before:

citizen participation
comprehensive planning and budgeting
environmental excellence
exemplary citizen relations
facility planning
intergovernmental relations
most improved city
outstanding emergency response
overall community improvement
overall municipal improvement
overcoming a negative heritage
parks and recreation
police operations
public works
small city progress
solid waste management
successful communications

We also nominate for Mayor of the Year. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.
