LGDPC Board of Directors - My one appointment is the MTAS representative to the Local Government Data Processing Corporation Board of Directors. Since Jim Leuty has retired, I have appointed Dick Phebus to be our representative on the board. Let Dick know if you have any questions or issues with LGDPC installations.

Dates to remember - The MTAS retreat is March 22, 23, and 24. The IPS retreat will be in Chattanooga at the Choo-Choo Holiday Inn again. The dates are October 12, 13, and 14. Please mark them on your calendar.

CGT - You may have already heard but Bob Schettler has been appointed assistant director of CGT.

MTAS web site - As of today, we have removed the requirement for a password for access to almost all the MTAS web site. We still require a password for access to the discussion databases. Lisa is chairing a team that is beginning to think about changes to our web site. Please let her know if you have any suggestions.

Recruiting news - We've conducted interviews for the management consultants in Jackson and Knoxville. We should have our selections made within the next two weeks. We will conduct interviews the first week of March for the finance consultant to replace Jim Leuty and for the administrative manager to replace Sally. We will advertise this weekend for a public works consultant in Knoxville to replace Chris Willis and for the new technology specialist in Nashville.

Staff Meetings - Please remember we have staff meetings in Jackson on February 25; in Nashville on February 26; and in Knoxville on March 2.
