REMINDER - We will have our APR interviews at the end of the month. Ten people have finished their APR forms. Thirty to go!

Jean McGowan starts today - As you've seen in the email from Nancy, Jean McGowan starts today as Senior Budget Clerk. Jean has experience both in operating her own child care business and in accounting for KLM Airlines. I've told her that her child care skills will not be needed in dealing with MTAS consultants, but who knows? She and her family have lived in Knoxville since October 2001, moving here from Pompano Beach, FL.

TML District Meetings - The district meetings started last Friday in Bristol; continued with Knoxville today; and we'll be in Jackson Friday. So far, all predictions for the state budget are dire.

Elected Officials Academy - We will conduct the first of three of our elected officials academies this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in Jackson. Instead of waiting for city officials to come to us to schedule a class, we have scheduled one in each Grand Division this year. We'll have one in Murfreesboro the end of January and one in Knoxville the end of February.
